Experience the thrill of poling for Bluefin Tuna in the Southern Ocean.

MFV Tacoma is an active 25m seagoing tuna fishing vessel. It has been preserved to its 1950s layout and fittings for all time for everyone to enjoy. The story of how the MFV Tacoma was built, it's instrumental role in the early commercialisation of the South Australian tuna industry is part of what you will discover on this six day adventure.

Limited places exist on the historic tuna boat Tacoma, departing from Port Lincoln on the evening of Friday 26 February returning 03 March 2021.

Experience a night of training including live baiting, night fishing with lights and nets in Boston Bay. Then spend the next 4 days using the original pole fishing method which began the tuna fishing industry in Port Lincoln.  

All meals are included and the opportunity to experience all aspects of ‘life on board’.
