The Echuca Winter Blues River Boat Ramble – 23 July to 02 August 2021

* This event has been been cancelled for 2021*

Mariner Boating will host a second Riverboat Ramble in July 2021 on the mighty Murray. Timed to coincide with the Echuca Winter Blues Festival on the first three nights of the Ramble we will stay on the houseboats in Echuca. The many festival venues will be easily accessible on foot. Focal point for the festival is the historic port area of Echuca.

Our Mariner weekend ‘Echuca Pass’ gives free access to many local extras, including a lunch cruise on the historic paddle steamer ‘Emmylou’ and a visit to the world famous Heathcote wine district.

After the weekend we set off on the river on one of the five luxurious houseboats. The peace of the season will prevail after the action packed weekend. Winter days are typically sunny with temperature maximums in mid-teens. Night time is cool but the boats are heated and we’ll have some excursions to country pubs, a world heritage listed wild life sanctuary and of course a cellar door visit to a winery.

The huge red gums overhanging the river reflect the flickering light of the campfire and when night prevails and the sky reveals a spectacular star show.

Of course the whole gig will extend the famous hospitality and service usually offered by the Joyce/Mariner team in the Med but you might even conclude that being locked up in Oz is not such a bad thing after all.
