Sporades Greek Islands Sailing Itinerary

Day 1 - Saturday
Welcome to the first day of your Sporades Greek Islands Sailing Tour! Arrive in Volos and make your own way to the marina.
We’ll embark the yachts then enjoy welcome drinks and overnight on board the yachts at the marina. Welcome drinks included.

Day 2 - Sunday
This morning we'll sail to Agia Kiriaki. Agia is Greek for saint/holy and Kiriaki is Sunday. This bay, on the mainland of Greece, translates to Holy Sunday. Take your first swim and walk along the beachfront town. It's always Sunday here. Dinner is included tonight.

Day 3 - Monday
Sail to Skiathos; famous for its role in the film Mamma Mia; need we say more. Spend the evening on the quay, choose a charming taverna and watch life go by.

Day 4 - Tuesday
Enjoy a full day on Skiathos exploring. The island's green countryside offers scenic walks along old footpaths. Head up the hill for the view, off to a monastery or find a quiet beach. Join us for the Tzaneria Beach loop walk.

Day 5 - Wednesday
Today we will sail to Skopelos which was also a location for the filming of Mamma Mia. We will arrive in town, after a day of swimming and sailing, in time to soak up the lively summer vibe, refresh along the quay and then a group dinner. Dinner is included tonight.

Day 6 - Thursday

Enjoy all that Skopelos has to offer. Join us for an optional walk to Palouki peak and a monastery or two or set your own pace to explore the island. Consider hiring a car to see even more.

Day 7 - Friday
Sail to Patitri, the vibrant capital of the island of Alonissos. We will walk (2km) to the old town in time for sunset and an aperitif or to wander down alley ways and enjoy the vista.

Day 8 - Saturday
Our second night on Alonissos will be in the slower paced town of Steni Vala. Dinner is included tonight.

Day 9 - Sunday
We'll sail a short distance to the protected bay of Peristera. Explore a shipwreck, swim off the back of the boat, read a book, enjoy a siesta - relax.

Day 10 - Monday
Peristera will prepare us for Kyra Panagia. This island is all but uninhabited. Beautiful, pristine nature, a monastery, farmstead and a marine park. Enjoy the solitude. Enjoy an optional 10km return walk to the monastery.

Day 11 - Tuesday
A longer sail will take us to the west coast of Skopelos, where we will spend the evening at Neo Klima. Dinner is included tonight.

Day 12 - Wednesday
Ease back to the mainland; we'll enjoy a swim stop and sail to Oreoi for tonight. Enjoy quay side life and join us for our final group dinner. Dinner is included tonight.

Day 13 - Thursday
Explore the local area by heading to the hot springs on the other side of the peninsula or head up to Taxiarchis and join us for a forest walk.

Day 14 - Friday
Enjoy a leisurely morning relaxing or swimming before we embark on our final sailing day and head back for our last night in Volos marina. Tonight, you are welcome to stay onboard the yacht in the marina or make your own hotel arrangements.

Day 15 - Saturday
Today is the last day of your Greek Islands Sailing trip. After breakfast, disembark and continue onward with your adventures of Greece or beyond.

• If you require a skipper the total cost is approx. AU$320 per day + food + cabin
• Personal travel insurance
• Reduced refundable yacht security deposit payable at the base
• On board provisioning or meals ashore for meals not included
• Fuel for the yacht and outboard motor (Estimate AU$300 total)
• Drinks during dinners or tours ashore are not included unless specified

• For cabin bookings, please allow approx. 100 EUR per person for a local "kitty" to contribute to fuel plus skipper's meals and gratuities.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended by Mariner Boating Holidays. Travellers should ensure they have a valid policy at time of booking. Your travel insurance policy must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation with a recommended minimum coverage of US$200,000 for each of the heads of cover. MBH also strongly recommend it covers cancellation, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects.
